Converse Japan’s 2009 March releases are seen here as themes seen in
previous months continue on. The “Expo Nippon” theme which highlights
various Japanese traditional crafts is seen once again with the
Arita-yaki One Star Ox based on the special regional pottery styles. A
new theme includes the “Expo Okinawa” narrative. The Okinawian people
have lived alongside various American military installations which has
molded the island’s unique culture. The Expo Okinawa releases include
models based on the prefecture’s flower as well as various iconic food
chains. Other non-themed releases include a Jack Purcell Slip-On and a
wrinkled patent leather All Star Hi. These will be releasing at various
Japanese Converse dealers this month.
